About Us

The Mormon Media Network (MMN) is your network.  A place where you can easily access topic-based media. Let us help you prepare a talk, a lesson, or simply show you something you may not have seen before.

The MMN has been created as a place where people of all faiths, beliefs and convictions can meet and reason together in a spirit of cooperation, love and understanding.  When you browse the Internet looking for information about religions you’ll find a great deal of bitterness, hatred and misinformation. It’s our hope that the Mormon Media Network can be an oasis in that sea of anger.  We hope to be a place where members of all faiths can feel comfortable, a place where guests can find information on a wide range of faiths, topics, and interests. We welcome input and participation. However, in the spirit of cooperation and understanding, we will not accept comments that are crude, derogatory or blasphemous. Although disagreements are a healthy part of the education process, we will not accept comments that are insulting of any religion. It’s our hope that we can all live by the motto: If it’s sacred to you, it’s sacred to me.

Although the Mormon Media Network is not an official media outlet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, those behind it are devout members of the church.  Combined, the MMN staff has over 120 years of experience in entertainment, film and television production, and broadcasting. Many of those 120 years were spent working directly on media produced by the church.

In the book of Doctrine and Covenants, the Lord commands us to, “…teach one another words of wisdom; yea, seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom; seek learning, even by study and also by faith.”(Doctrine and Covenants, section 88 verse 118) Clearly, the Lord was not commanding us to seek wisdom from only “Mormon” books. When that commandment was received, the only “Mormon” book available was The Book of Mormon. The Lord wants each of us to be well read, well rounded, and well informed and the World Wide Web is the perfect tool for that. The best “books” are out there and available to us. The Mormon Media Network is searching through the best “books” and bringing information together in one place.

The “People” section of the website is to help people network with other individuals and resources who can help them accomplish tasks and share knowledge. Need to find someone savvy in videography to help you with your family history interview?  Find them here.  We also provide directories and information for great fireside presenters,  photographers, musicians, and more.

We sincerely hope that you will come to see the Mormon Media Network as YOUR network, a place where your opinions and ideas matter.
